Hanson Mesa Bed & Breakfast

Privately owned and operated Bed and Breakfast in a 100+ year old home, known historically as the Thomas House, in western Colorado wine, wilderness, national park, and fishing country.

Wine country. Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Grand Mesa N.F. Gunnison River fishing/drift boat. Gunnison Gorge National Conservation area. Escalante/Dominguez Wilderness Area. Hunting. Fishing. Hiking. Fruit orchards. Bison and Elk Farms.

We have the ability to sleep 7 people max. Price is $75 + tax per person (including children older than 8) for the queen beds, and $85 per person for the King bed (double occupancy for that room is $160 + tax, a $10 discount) The price includes breakfast served upon a requested time. Special meal requests (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.) can be readily accommodated.

Each room sleeps 2 people (Yellow Room, Blue Room (King bed), Suite, or Studio). There are 2 bathrooms in the house. The house is not ADA, and stairs are required to reach the upstairs and bathrooms, but not the studio.

No Smoking. No pets inside the house.

Check-in must be after 3pm and before 10pm. Check-out is 11am, although arrangements can be made for early (before 3pm) or late (after 11am day of checkout) drop-off or pickup of luggage to facilitate visiting the area.

We also provide a shuttle service for those wanting to float, raft, or kayak/canoe the Gunnison river for boat or fishing purposes. Guide services along the Gunnison and North Fork of the Gunnison river are available on site on weekends and with advance notice for a separate fee.

Drop off and pickup along the river is also available. "Touring" the wineries (i.e. driving you to and from selected wineries so you don't drink and drive) is also available. All are at additional cost.
